A Regional Community Event Taking Shape

Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair brings together makers, musicians, artists, community groups and visitors from across the Mareeba and Douglas regions - and beyond!

With 70+ makers, performers, workshops, food vendors and community groups already involved, the Fair celebrates creativity, connection and belonging in Far North Queensland.

Featuring emerging youth musicians, creative workshops, local food and handmade goods, Bushy Creek is a place where community comes together.

What to expect

A two-day celebration of creativity, connection and community in Julatten.

  • Live music across two days, including a Young Artist feature with emerging musicians from Mossman, Atherton and Kuranda

  • Creative workshops and demonstrations

  • Saturday evening dinner dance with the Carinda Christie Band

Why Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair exists

The Fair is a volunteer-led community event celebrating handmade craft, local produce, music and connection - all the skills and generosity that live in small communities.

We believe in:
